Playfina lottery: the price of one ticket

A Playfina lottery ticket costs between A$30 and A$15, and the price falls as the deposit grows. Deposit A$30 and you get one ticket. Deposit A$1,540 and you get 100, at A$15 each.

Tickets come with deposits, not with separate purchases, and the current pool is A$6,050 + 20,000 free spins. Draws in recent months ran every two weeks. If you are depositing anyway, the welcome offer on the Playfina deposit bonus page uses the same A$30 minimum.

The headline pool and the prize table do not agree, and that is worth knowing before the first ticket. The prize section below shows the gap in dollars.

How do I get lottery tickets?

Six deposit bands decide the count. A$30–74 gives 1 ticket. A$75–154 gives 3, at A$25 each. A$155–309 gives 7 at A$22. A$310–769 gives 15 at A$21. A$770–1,539 gives 40 at A$19. From A$1,540 you get 100 at A$15.

The bands are not perfectly round. Fifteen tickets at A$21 is A$315, yet the band starts at A$310, so the bottom of that band gets a slight discount. Below A$30 there is no ticket at all.

The band also matters more than the amount inside it. A$74 gives one ticket, A$75 gives three. If you were going to deposit A$70, the extra A$5 triples your entries. That is the only useful trick here, and it only makes sense if you planned that deposit anyway. Buying tickets is not a reason to deposit more.

The top band is the clearest case of a volume discount. One A$1,540 deposit brings 100 tickets, while the same money split into twenty deposits of A$77 brings 60, three each. Fewer, bigger deposits win on ticket count, but they also put more money on the table in one go, which is the real cost.

  • Cheapest entry: A$30 for one ticket, the highest price per ticket.
  • Best price: A$15 per ticket, only from a single deposit of A$1,540.
  • Biggest step: A$74 gives 1 ticket, A$75 gives 3.

When is the draw held?

The draws we saw listed as previous winners fell on 19 August, 2 September, 16 September, 30 September and 14 October. That is every 14 days, on Wednesdays.

Playfina does not print a fixed schedule, and a countdown runs on the lottery page instead. If the pattern holds, the next draw follows two weeks after the last one, but check the timer before you count on it. The winners list itself showed its top rows as 20 EUR prizes, so it mixes currencies. The A$ figures on this page are the ones the Australian lottery page prints.

What can I win in the lottery?

There are 700 winning tickets per draw, split into six prize levels. The cash levels pay A$30, A$25, A$15 and A$8, the free spin levels 100 FS and 50 FS.

We do not know how many tickets go into each draw, so the chance per ticket cannot be worked out. What the table does show is the shape: most winners get a small prize, and nobody gets a big one. Multiply each level out and the cash comes to A$5,850, not the A$6,050 in the banner:

Prize levelSum on the prize table
A$30 on 50 ticketsA$1,500
A$25 on 50 ticketsA$1,250
A$15 on 100 ticketsA$1,500
A$8 on 200 ticketsA$1,600
Cash totalA$5,850
100 FS and 50 FS levels20,000 FS

The spins match the banner exactly. The cash is A$200 short, and Playfina does not explain the difference. Here is how the 700 break down.

Deposit→Get tickets→Wait for the draw→Collect

  • 50 tickets win A$30 and 50 win A$25.
  • 100 tickets win A$15 and 200 win A$8.
  • 100 tickets win 100 free spins and 200 win 50 free spins: 20,000 spins in total.
  • Cash adds up to A$5,850 on this table, A$200 below the A$6,050 headline.

Are lottery prizes wagered?

Playfina's lottery page does not say. The prize table, the ticket bands and the winners list are public, but the rules behind the How to win button are not on the page we saved, and the bonus terms do not mention the lottery by name.

So plan for the safer reading. Free spin prizes at Playfina are activated in the Bonuses tab and their winnings are bonus money. Cash prizes may or may not carry wagering. Ask support before you treat an A$8 or A$30 win as withdrawable.

Also keep the scale in mind. The top prize is A$30. Two hundred of the 700 winning tickets pay A$8, which is less than any ticket costs. The lottery is a side bonus on deposits you would make anyway, not a way to win back a loss. If you want a structured return on your play, the Playfina cashback is more predictable.

Put the two side by side on one deposit. A$310 in the 15-ticket band buys 15 lottery entries whose top prize is A$30 each. The same A$310, lost over a month on Gold status, returns A$9.30 in cashback, just above the A$8 floor, with x40 wagering. Neither is a reason to deposit; both are small extras on money you had already decided to spend.

A last practical point concerns the welcome package. Tickets follow the deposit band, while the 100% first-deposit bonus is chosen in the account. Playfina does not say that a lottery ticket counts as a bonus, so the one-active-bonus rule should not block it, but check with support if both matter to you.

  • Top prize: A$30 cash, on 50 tickets per draw.
  • Smallest cash prize: A$8, on 200 tickets, below the price of any ticket.
  • Wagering on lottery prizes: not published, ask before you withdraw.

Playfina FAQ

Can Australians enter the Playfina lottery?

The lottery page is in A$ on the Australian site. But Playfina holds no Australian licence, and offering online gambling to Australians breaches the Interactive Gambling Act. You would have no local body to complain to, and BetStop does not cover the casino.

What is the minimum deposit for a lottery ticket?

A$30, for one ticket at the full A$30 price. Below that no ticket is issued. The next band starts at A$75 and gives three tickets, which brings the price down to A$25 each.

Can one ticket win more than once?

Playfina does not say. The prize table shows 700 winning tickets per draw, and the page does not state a limit per player or per ticket. With 100 tickets from one A$1,540 deposit, several wins for one player are at least possible.

When is the next Playfina lottery draw?

Every two weeks, if the recent pattern holds: 19 August, 2, 16 and 30 September, 14 October, all Wednesdays. The countdown on the lottery page is the reliable source.

Do I need a code for lottery tickets?

No code is shown for the lottery. Tickets are added according to the deposit band, and the BUY A TICKET buttons on the page sit beside the deposit bands rather than a separate ticket shop. The public code LOOTBOX belongs to the lootbox chests, not the lottery.
