Playfina tournaments on the board this month
Eight Playfina tournaments were on the board in October, and only two belong to the casino itself. The Daily Spins Race paid A$300 + 2,500 FS, the Weekly Pokies Tournament A$1,200 + 19,000 FS.
The other six are network events run by game studios across many casinos, with pools listed on each tournament page. Every card has its own countdown and its own rules. Weekly cashback is the steadier return on the same bets: compare it on the Playfina cashback page before you chase a leaderboard.

Which tournament formats run on Playfina?
Three formats, split by the tabs at the top: Daily, Weekly and Providers, plus All and a Coming Soon tab.
Daily and Weekly are Playfina's own. They reset on a short cycle, the pools are in A$ and free spins, and the field is limited to Playfina players. That makes them the realistic ones for a normal budget. A pool of A$300 + 2,500 FS shared every day is small, but so is the competition compared to a network race.
The two house races compare like this:
| Item | Daily Spins Race | Weekly Pokies Tournament |
|---|---|---|
| Cash pool | A$300 | A$1,200 |
| Free spins | 2,500 FS | 19,000 FS |
| Over seven days | A$2,100 + 17,500 FS if it runs daily | A$1,200 + 19,000 FS |
| Who competes | Playfina players only | Playfina players only |
Counted over a week, the daily race puts more cash on the table and the weekly one more spins. A player who can only play on two evenings is better served by the daily race, because each day is a fresh start.
Provider tournaments are different animals. Spin Express comes from Gamzix. Two cards ran BGaming Million Drops. Hell or Win Network Tournament is a Booongo and Playson event, Halloween VoltEnt Leaderboard belongs to VoltEnt, and PLAY with KEVIN is Pragmatic Play's promotion with Kevin Hart. Their pools are big because players from many casinos feed them, and the top places tend to go to very high turnover.
- Daily Spins Race: A$300 + 2,500 FS, listed under the Daily tab.
- Weekly Pokies Tournament: A$1,200 + 19,000 FS, listed under the Weekly tab.
- Provider events: six cards from Gamzix, BGaming, Booongo and Playson, VoltEnt and Pragmatic Play.
How do I join a tournament?
There is no entry fee printed on any card. You join by playing the eligible games while the tournament runs, after opening the card. The rules for each event sit on its card, and the bonus terms have a separate tournaments section.
Timing matters more than people expect. Every card runs its own countdown, and in October the eight cards did not end together: the house races closed within days, some network races ran for months. A long network race and a daily sprint can share the same pokie bets, so check which cards a game belongs to before you start a session.
A deposit is still needed, since tournament play is real-money play. On mobile the Tournaments button in the bottom bar takes you straight to the list. Bonuses for regular tournaments are open to every country except Sweden under term 1.3.
Pick a tournament→Play eligible pokies→Climb the board→Collect
- Log in and open Tournaments from the side menu or the bottom bar.
- Pick a tab: Daily for short races, Weekly for the longer pokies event, Providers for network races.
- Open the card and read the eligible games, minimum bet and scoring before you spin.
- Play only listed games. Spins on other pokies do not count towards that leaderboard.
How are leaderboard points counted?
Playfina's public tournament page shows names, pools and countdowns, not scoring. The points rule lives inside each card, and it differs by organiser.
Network races usually score one of three ways: total amount bet, the biggest single win, or the biggest win as a multiple of the stake. Each favours a different player. Total-bet races reward volume. Multiplier races give a small-stake player a real chance with one lucky spin. Before you play, find out which one you are in.
Then set a budget that is separate from your normal play. A leaderboard pushes people to spin longer than planned, and the bonus rules still apply on top: with a bonus active, every spin stays at A$8 or less. If you do not finish in the prizes, the bets still count towards your loyalty level on the Playfina VIP program.
The same bets also feed two other counters. Every A$890 of bets earns one shop coin, and A$5,250 of slot bets fills the bar for one spin of the Wheel of Fortune. A tournament week that misses the leaderboard can still end with a wheel spin, which is a better consolation than chasing a last-minute place.
- Total-bet scoring: the leaderboard follows turnover, so it rewards whoever bets the most.
- Biggest-win scoring: a single big result decides, regardless of the stake.
- Multiplier scoring: wins are divided by the bet, which levels the field for small stakes.
Playfina FAQ
Are Playfina tournaments open to Australian players?
The cards are visible on the Australian site with A$ pools. But Playfina has no Australian licence, so Australian consumer law does not protect your entries or prizes. Under the bonus terms, tournament bonuses are excluded only for Sweden.
Do I pay to enter a Playfina tournament?
No entry fee is shown on any card. You take part by betting on eligible games, which means a real-money balance. The cost of a tournament is simply the bets you place in it, so set that amount before you open the card. The minimum deposit for a bonus is A$30, and the public tournament list shows no separate deposit threshold for taking part.
How are Playfina tournament prizes paid?
As cash and free spins for Playfina's own races, as listed on each card. The wagering on tournament prizes is in the tournaments section of the bonus terms, not on the cards themselves. Free spin prizes are activated in the Bonuses tab, like every other spin at Playfina, and provider events pay in the way their organiser sets.
Can I play a tournament with bonus money?
Bets made while a bonus is active are capped at A$8 a spin, and the bonus terms decide what counts. Read the tournament card first, because the organiser decides whether bonus bets score. A bonus also changes your stake ceiling: on a multiplier leaderboard the cap matters little, on a total-bet leaderboard it slows you down against players betting without one.
Which Playfina tournament is easiest to place in?
On the published numbers, the Daily Spins Race. Its field is Playfina players only and it resets every day, so a poor start does not ruin the week. Network events spread across many casinos are the hardest. The Weekly Pokies Tournament sits in between: a bigger pool of A$1,200 + 19,000 FS, but seven days for the high-turnover players to pull ahead.
